Leaving Bar, the road runs through Sutomore before diving into the Sozina tunnel, which carries you under the coastal mountains in a few kilometres. On the other side you emerge above Lake Skadar, the largest lake in the Balkans, passing near the old wine village of Virpazar before the road drops onto the Zeta plain and into Podgorica. It is the most direct link between the southern coast and the capital.
